    COLTS NECK - Authorities have removed three dozen cats from a Magnolia Lane property in response to an animal cruelty complaint made through the New Jersey Animal Cruelty Hotline. Monmouth County SPCA law enforcement officials spent Monday night into Tuesday morning removing seven cats and kittens from the Magnolia Lane home, another 17 with the help from the homeowner and the remaining 12 on the property using traps, authorities said.

Nicole Fedderson, a doctor with the Monmouth County SPCA, told News 12 that officials found 11 puppies and six adult dogs that were around 3 or 4 years old.

    EATONTOWN - The first of the more than 270 dogs rescued last week from a house in Howell was adopted out on Wednesday as the animal count from the worst hoarding situation in Monmouth County continued to grow. At least four other dogs are ready for adoption at the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown and more will become available daily as they are cleared medically, said Ross Licitra, chief enforcement officer for the MCSPCA.
