    Harrisville Central School District administrators are denying claims made in a federal lawsuit that a female student was subjected to a strip search and body cavity search in an allegedly fruitless attempt to find drugs. The district was sued by the now-graduated student in December in U.S. District Court, Syracuse, based on a Dec. 11, 2015, incident in which a school nurse, Kelly Avallone, allegedly made the girl completely disrobe and then conducted a search of her rectal cavity and vagina in the presence of elementary school principal Amy Bird.
