    East Elmhurst: In "Boss stayed in UK after jail attack" , Reuven Blau and Denis Slattery erroneously reported that Department of Correction Commissioner Joe Ponte had not called a correction officer who was sexually assaulted by an inmate on Feb. 28. In fact, Ponte called the officer daily, and spoke to her via a Correction captain who is in charge of the commissioner's security detail, who was assigned to assist and be with her. Moreover, the department's CARE Unit swung into action, providing the officer with contacts for counseling and transportation to appointments.
