Many of the dozens of kids joining him from the Monroe Boys and Girls Clubs already had time to give the updated equipment a whirl.

Teresa was lately suffering from complications of cardio-vascular disease and diabetes. She will be remembered as a woman with a loving heart, devoted to her family and pets.

    Photos by Kelly Sullivan: Monroe Police officers assisted children in need of a few good toys with selecting and purchasing the right gifts during the fourth annual Shop with a Cop event at Walmart on Wednesday, Dec. 13. They were asked to report to Walmart with their child and team up with local law enforcement officers, who needed to positively identify up to $150 in gifts for families to take home for the holidays. Those called in for questioning lined up at the store's entrance promptly at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

    Photos courtesy of Debby Seaney: Deborah Seaney's Maltby Girl Scouts have organized an annual volunteer harvesting event for local troops for about half a decade. This year it was held on Oct. 8. The nearly 200 Girl Scout troop members and their families who arrived at the Food Bank Farm in Maltby on Oct. 8 were expecting to harvest bulbous, bulky squash.
