"We felt that previous meeting results showed the board leaning towards leaving our neighborhood as part of the Roswell North Elementary School," said Hugo Justiniano, 40. "Since a majority of the mapping options did not rezone Roswell Station to the new Highway 9 elementary school, we were surprised that the final decision did rezone us."

The acquisition of the land was needed in order to solve safety and traffic issues along the North Peachtree, Tilly Mill and Peeler roads intersections due to "an unacceptable level of service, particularly during the peak of the morning commute," according to a traffic analysis conducted in 2011.
