    Caltrans is repaving damaged pavement on exits and entrances along Interstate 5 from County Road 17 north of Woodland to County Road 6 interchange near Dunnigan, thanks to the funds from Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017. “The on and off-ramps in this area have endured a lot of wear and tear as a result of the many commercial trucks entering and exiting the interstate,” said Caltrans Director Laurie Berman.

    A white, 50 pound dog bit a woman on the head at the Dunnigan rest stop off of northbound Interstate 5, according to the Yolo County Sheriff's Department. At around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, a man and woman were eating in their car when the medium-sized, short haired dog attacked the woman, according to Sgt.

    The raids against illegal marijuana growers by Yolo County officials are continuing as sheriff's deputies turned their attention away from the Capay Valley and focused on Dunnigan and Zamora this past week, destroying $778,000 of pot. Sgt. Matt Davis of the Sheriff's Department, reported late Friday that the first of three search warrants was served at a property on the 1000 block of County Road 88 in Dunnigan on Wednesday resulting in an arrest and the confiscation of marijuana in addition to ammunition in possession of a convicted felon.
