District B will be picked up Wednesday, Nov. 14, District C will be picked up Thursday, Nov. 15 and District D will be picked up Friday, Nov. 16. Only leaves in open/untied bags and barrels will be picked up in this first sweep. Leaves left loose at the curb will be picked up in the next sweep at a later date to be announced.

    The city of Dunkirk's Planning and Development Department has been working with Revitalize Dunkirk since the spring of 2017, and the grant proposal that was submitted in April 2018 has been awarded in the amount of $49,500 from the New York Department of Environmental Conservation . This grant will provide funding for the city to conduct a city-wide inventory of public trees and to create a community forestry management plan.
