    Conservation officers say a 60-year-old southern Indiana man died when an all-terrain vehicle he was riding rolled into a pond, trapping him underwater. A relative called 911 after finding Jeremy "Jerry" Terwiske trapped Sunday evening beneath the ATV in a private pond in the Dubois County town of Ireland.

    Deputies with the Dubois and Martin County Sheriff's Departments and Department of Natural Resources conservation officers, were in the Portersville area on a detail when a Dubois County Sheriff's Department deputy saw a speeding 1985 Honda Mana V30 pass an all-terrain vehicle in a no-passing zone at 1:20 p.m. The deputy activated his emergency lights for a traffic stop, but the driver continued northbound on Portersville Bridge Road into Daviess County. Deputies learned the driver 34-year-old Ryan T. Fields, was driving while never being licensed and had a suspended driver's license.

Kluesner was forced to stop the dump truck on the tracks when the railroad crossing arms lowered for an approaching train.

    The eagle has been recovering at the home of Vincennes, Indiana, wildlife rescuer Angel Lange since soon after being spotted in April in nearby Dubois County with a badly broken wing that had to be amputated. The Vincennes Sun-Commercial reports officials believe the bird was hurt by flying into a power line.
