    The town's veterans won't be getting a break on their school taxes following a Tuesday night vote by the school board. The Board of Education of the Duanesburg Central School District voted 6-1 against the controversial tax exemption, which would have reduced taxes on veterans who own homes in the district up to 15 percent - but only by raising taxes on non-veterans.
