    A German motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning when he rear-ended a pickup making a left turn onto West 6000 South off of state Highway 33 near Victor. John Lawless, 54, of Victor, was driving north at about 10:07 a.m. on Highway 33 in a 1993 Chevrolet pickup and Klaus-Dieter Beyer, 58, of Siegen, Germany, was riding north on a 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, an Idaho State Police news release said.

    Ohlson, 40, was arrested in 2016 and charged with the murder of Jennifer Nalley of Driggs and her unborn child by shooting her multiple times in the back. Ohlson was bound to district court on Nov. 16, 2017 after Magistrate Judge Colin Luke found probable cause to believe he committed the crime.

    A school resource officer received a report of the threats at 12:30 p.m., according to a Blackfoot Police Department news release. The student was charged with threatening violence on school grounds, a misdemeanor punishable with up to a year in jail.

    Adams Publishing Group, which owns the Post Register, has purchased Seattle-based Pioneer News Group Co., which owns nine Idaho newspapers, including the Teton Valley News in Driggs, the Idaho State Journal in Pocatello, and the Rexburg Standard Journal. The sale, announced in a Pioneer News Group news release, is expected to be finalized Nov. 1. Terms were not disclosed.
