A Pleasanton grocery store is asking its customers to vote online this month to determine the six local nonprofits that will be beneficiaries of campaign that contributes 10-cents for every reused grocery bag. Each time New Leaf Community Market customers reuse a grocery bag, they receive a token worth 10 cents that they can direct to the beneficiary of their choice. Comment?

Assembly Member-Elect Catharine Baker will take the oath of office as the new representative for the 16th Assembly District in Sacramento at noon today at the State Capitol in Sacramento.
