    Golf Road west of its intersection with Rand Road in Des Plaines will be closed beginning next Friday for repair work on the Canadian National railroad tracks. The work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. that day and conclude on or before 6 p.m. July 30. A complete road closure on Golf is required for the project.

The auction and sale, along with a tasting of local craft beers from Only Child Brewing Company in Gurnee and a sampling of barbecue from T Bob's Smoked Bar-B-Q in Des Plaines, was held to raise funds for the society's restoration of the 1896 Central School.
