Meadows, 28, Madison, on Sunday, June 4 on charges of domestic battery, felony criminal confinement, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a syringe, possession of paraphernalia, felony possession of legend drug and felony maintaining a common nuisance. According to the affidavit, a third-party caller notified police of seeing Meadows pick up a woman and carry her back into a house in Madison as she was screaming for help.

Moffatt, 44, who struck Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy Ben Flint's vehicle as he was fleeing the scene of a reported domestic battery in the evening on Tuesday, May 29, was charged with felony aggravated battery, felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, felony battery and two counts of felony domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury. Flint was outside the vehicle in the 500 block of County Road-N near Innes Road attempting to conduct a traffic stop when James E. Moffatt, 44, Deputy, "rammed Deputy Flint's vehicle with his vehicle as he attempted to flee the scene," according to a release from the Indiana State Police Versailles Post.
