Ad hoc Judge Edward "Jimmy" Gaidry imposed the lengthy sentence on Ashley Covington, 38, after hearing testimony Monday from the widow of 43-year-old Brian Broom, who died after the crash near Live Oak High School in Watson, Belser said.
