The multi-homer game gives the senior shortstop 48 for her career, which is only three shy of Dew, who set an MHSAA record with her 50th career bomb on Thursday, May 17, and has since added another.

    Athletes from across the Kalamazoo-area put their season on the line at the weekend's track and field regional meets, and 81 boys ran, jumped, threw and vaulted their way to a state finals berth. Among the state qualifiers were 35 regional champions, including Marcellus' Derek Flory, who took home first-place medals in the 110 and 300-meter hurdles and will look to defender his state title in the latter event on Saturday, June 2. White Pigeon sprinter Carlos Castro, Bangor hurdler Brett Robertson, Plainwell thrower Caleb Rogers, Delton Kellogg thrower Tyden Ferris and Kalamazoo Hackett's Heath Baldwin also captured regional titles in multiple individual events, setting themselves up for a strong showing at state.
