    Winneshiek County residents are participating in the Bible Marathon occurring in all 99 counties of Iowa Monday, June 27, through Saturday, July 2. On April 26, Governor Terry Branstad signed the Iowa 99 County Bible Reading Marathon proclamation encouraging all Iowans to participate in the historic occasion. Pastor Tim Borseth of Lifehouse Church in Decorah, county captain for the event, contacted City Manager Chad Bird about the event, and was granted permission to do the marathon by County Auditor Ben Steines.
