    Noah Faldet, an athlete on the Decorah boys swim team and senior at South Winn was one of 12 individuals selected for the 2018 Senior Scholastic Team by the Iowa High School Swim Coaches Association. In order to be eligible, athletes must be either a senior swimmer or diver, be in the upper 50 percent of his class academically and be a state meet qualifier in at least one individual event.

The cafe is part of the practical learning experience in the Foods II class at Decorah High School as well as part of the hospitality class that works at menu planning, promotion, serving and cost analysis.

The Decorah City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the proposed budget at 5:45 p.m. Monday, March 5. The proposed tax rate for fiscal 2018-19 budget is $14.08 per $1,000 of taxable value.
