    A 34-year-old man who fell about 25 feet at Malanaphy Springs was airlifted from the scene by a Medlink Air helicopter. The Decorah Fire Department assisted with his rescue in the remote area off Bluffton Road at about 12:15 p.m. Friday.

    A public hearing on plans and specifications for a large aircraft hangar for Gundersen Health System has been scheduled for the Decorah City Council's Monday, Aug. 7, meeting which starts at 5:45 p.m. The hearing was scheduled during a special meeting Wednesday morning. At its July 17 meeting, the Council approved issuing up to $1.5 million in general obligation bonds to pay for a hangar.
