Three experts from the Decorah-based organization - Diane Ott Whealy, John Torgrimson and Timothy Johnson - will address those questions during a panel discussion to be held immediately following the screening of the documentary "Seeds of Time" Sunday, March 8, at 2:30 p.m. on the Luther College campus in Decorah. The film is one of more than 50 movies on tap for the 2015 Oneota Film Festival, to be held March 68. Attendance at all festival films is free of charge.

    ArtHaus and The Clay Studio in Decorah are hosting a community glaze-a-thon Saturday, Feb. 21, from 4-6 p.m., to decorate bowls for Empty Bowls, a favorite local event that helps area food pantries and other hunger programs. No experience is needed and pre-registration is not required; participants may simply stop by ArtHaus Studio at 516 W Water Street or The Clay Studio, 207 Washington St, to lend a hand in decorating bowls thrown by area potters.

The murders of Angela Hyke and her daughter, Ashley Lucas, will be featured on "Murder Comes to Town," which will air on the Investigation Discovery Channel, Monday, March 2, at 9 p.m. History On July 8, 2001, Hyke, 25, and Lucas, 8, of Cresco, went missing.

    James Ostlie, a 2013 graduate of Decorah High School, and Bryce Pierce, a 2014 DHS grad, were presented their second and first collegiate letters, respectively, at the Luther College annual awards banquet held Saturday, Feb. 7. Ostlie, a two-year starter on the offensive line, helped pave the way for a Norse offensive attack that finished second in the NCAA III in rushing yards-per-game . Luther also set a single season school rushing record and tied the single game rushing record during its 49-21 victory over Grinnell College.
