    The McDonald's on Point Mallard Parkway scored an 81. They lost points because of mold in an ice maker, and because degreaser was stored over an active food prep area. The Arby's on Spring Avenue also scored an 81. The inspector reports finding a worker's open drink and food stored over food for customers in a walk-in cooler.

    According to The Decatur Daily Taylor announced Wednesday that he will be putting away his badge after more than 41 years with the police department in order to spend more time with his wife and five grandchildren. Taylor, who turns 65 next month, was named the city's police chief in July 2010.

They lost points because steak in cold-holding was not cold enough, measured at nine degrees above the temperature required to prevent bacteria growth.

    The Limestone County Health Department handed the McDonald's in Ardmore, Alabama a health inspection score of 79. The inspector reports an open bag of raw chicken was sitting directly on a bag of raw hamburger patties. The inspector took the temperature of some shelled eggs and reports that the thermometer showed the eggs were 19 degrees above the maximum temperature allowed in order to keep bacteria at bay.

Madison Public Works is reporting that the area in front of Forrest Park Apartments in Madison is encountering some flooding Police added that flooded areas include Hughes Road from St. John's Catholic to Eastview, Gooch east of Wall Triana, and Sullivan Street.
