    DAYTONA BEACH - A job fair is taking place today at the Ocean Center for the Tanger Outlets mall that's opening in Daytona Beach on Nov. 18. The outlet mall, located along the east side of Interstate 95, just south of LPGA Boulevard, is expected to bring more than 75 stores and restaurants and will create at least 900 jobs, according to the North Carolina-based outlet mall developer. This will be Tanger's first location in Florida.

    An off-duty Daytona Beach police officer who had been drinking at two bars and was stopped in Edgewater, but not arrested or ticketed, was given a 10-day suspension without pay, an internal affairs investigation shows. Aaron Swartzfager, a nine-year veteran with Daytona Beach police, told investigators he was not intoxicated the morning of June 7 when he was stopped just after 2 a.m.  Edgewater police also said they did not think the 28-year-old Swartzfager reached the level of a DUI.
