    A Chicago federal judge has refused to throw out a lawsuit by a lawyer against former La Salle County State's Attorney Brian Towne. Julie Ajster, a lawyer who lives in Dalzell, with a Peru office, sued Towne in February, saying Towne maliciiously brought a false perjury charge against her and listened to and recorded her telephone conversation without a proper warrant.

Ajster said Towne and police listened in on and recorded her phone conversations in 2015 with an improper warrant.
