    The 79th running of the FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby is set to take place July 16 starting at 8 a.m. Among the racers in this year's event are the following local competitors, who won first place in their divisions at the Akron Metro or Akron Suburban races: Kayley Long, of Akron, Masters; Stephanie Hicks, of Akron, Super Stock; Logan Gongaware, of Perry, Super Stock; Zoe Kubick, of Cuyahoga Falls, Stock; and Mike Conway, of Louisville, Stock. Several area Rally racers also qualified to compete.
