    Developer Frank Stoner, who currently controls by contract the former Barnes Lumber property in downtown Crozet, proposed to the Crozet Community Advisory Council in August that Crozet should form a Community Development Corporation to help attract new businesses to the town. Stoner and White Hall District Supervisor Ann Mallek jointly hostd a meeting at the Field School October 2 to introduce Crozetians to what a CDC is.

Both planters have crape myrtles in them now.

Pleasants, Crozet resident and CEO of Pleasants Industries, said he is negotiating to purchase the triangular two-acre parcel owned by CSX in downtown Crozet that once was a rail spur into the Barnes Lumber Company.
