White Hall residents Byrd and his wife Susan Nelson, also an architect, drafted the plan to demonstrate how the community's goals, as defined in the Crozet Master Plan and the Downtown Crozet District, a special zoning area, can be realized in a design for the 20-acre lumberyard parcel.
