    Crowley Police say they have made an arrest in a recent home invasion in the 1400 block of North Avenue L. Police Chief Jimmy Broussard says that 44-year-old Billy Joe Hanks of Crowley was arrested on one count of home invasion and one count of felon in possession of a weapon. He was booked in connection with a home invasion which occurred on Saturday, September 1, 2018.

    Investigators with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office are seeking the public's assistance with a 15-year-old cold case death of a newborn infant and also reminding the public of Louisiana's Safe Haven Law. On March 5, 2003, a newborn baby boy was found dead floating in a drainage canal Northwest of Crowley off of Highway 13, according to Acadia Parish Sheriff KP Gibson.
