    Law enforcement agencies from across the Upper Cumberland region worked together to charge 12 individuals in an eight-month investigation in methamphetamine distribution. Members of the Cookeville Police Department, Cumberland Sheriff's Office, Crossville Police Department, Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Overton County Sheriff's Department, Pickett County Sheriff's Office, DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, 13th Judicial District Drug Task Force, office of 13th District Attorney Bryant Dunaway and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation worked together to secure the charges.

    Special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, working with authorities from the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, received indictments for a now former EMS supervisor accused of misusing his position to steal narcotics. On Aug. 17, at the request of 13th District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway, TBI agents started an investigation into the theft of fentanyl from the Cumberland County Ambulance Service.
