The accepted its 2015 final levy at $70,000, the same as its preliminary levy. Despite a lack of snow, which made for slick track conditions, the drivers and spectators alike enjoyed the warm temperatures.     The Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association and the Army Corps of Engineers Crosslake Recreation Area are working together to create the Linda Ulland Memorial Gardens and Environmental Interpretive Gardens outside the recreation area offices in Crosslake. What's now a grassy field will become an area with vibrant flowers and plants, walkways, growing examples of lunch box gardens and community shared agriculture, and colorful statues for children to climb on and enjoy.

Over a hundred people wandered through the area throughout the afternoon enjoying the wintertime activities that included horse drawn sleigh rides, a bonfire, s'mores and of course visiting with Santa.
