    A 19-year-old prison guard from Crockett has been arrested in connection to allegations that he took a $500 bribe from an inmate's relative to smuggle synthetic marijuana into the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's Eastham Unit back in May. Latariyon Tryon was arrested and charged with second-degree felony bribery Monday. According to the arrest affidavit, a peace officer with the Office of the Inspector General got word from an inmate at the Eastham Unit that Tryon had smuggled contraband into the prison.

According to his arrest affidavit, Davis molested the 13-year-old girl at a home on County Road 2015, which is off of Highway 7 in the early morning hours of Dec. 24. The girl immediately made an outcry to her mother and to law enforcement, the affidavit stated.
