    A Crocker man could learn his fate this week on a charge of Involuntary Manslaughter in Camden County. Joshua Shelton, who was 25 at the time, is accused of getting behind the wheel drunk on Labor Day, 2013, and failing to negotiate a curve on Route-A, just east of Seven Springs Road, sending the car off the road before hitting a tree and overturning.

    The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department reports that the two escaped inmates have been captured. According to reports, James Sherrell and Dustin Richardson were able to escape just after 1 o'clock Sunday morning after stealing the jailer's keys.

    Lake Regional Health System is offering free sports clinics to local students. Five free sports clinics this spring and summer for middle school and High school students will be offered in the area schools: School of the Osage will have their free clinic on May 11th from 3:30-6:30PM; Iberia on May 17th, 3:30-6:30PM; May 26th they will be in Crocker from 4-7PM; June 14th will give Camdenton students a chance from 3:30-6:30PM; and on July 21st Lake Regional will be at the Tuscumbia school 3-6PM.

    Fort Leonard Wood region school districts including Richland R-4 and Crocker R-2, are exceeding Missouri's state education standards and according to the military base, are sending a clear message to the Army that military children in the region are receiving a high quality education. The Sustainable Ozarks Partnership recently analyzed educational performance data from the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for eight school districts in the region taken from each district's Annual Performance Reports.
