Crawley, W.Va., Logan Co., a son of the late Victor and Dixie Butcher Dingess. He was formerly married to the former Donna Tacy Lemons who survives at Oakland, Md. Also surviving are one brother, Charles A. "Duke" Dingess and wife, Martha, of Belington; four sisters, Bonnie D. Howes of Pensacola, Fla., Ella Ingram and Mary Ann Cassidy, both of Staunton, Va. and Lois Conrad of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a very special friend and caretaker, Jamie L. Bender of Fairmont, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are two infant brothers and two sisters, Anetta Shipe and Polly Goodwin. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson Memorial High School with the class of 1959. He was an avid Lumberman and Sawyer. He loved the outdoors, fishing and his favorite dog, Princess. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins, Sunday, March 9, 2014, from 1 till 4 p.m. On Sunday at 4 p.m. Final Rites will be conducted. The Rev. Jim Murphy will officiate. Graveside services will take place Monday, March 10, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pleasant View Church Cemetery at Staunton, VA.
