Nicholas Joseph Reid, 25, pleaded guilty to burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misconduct involving weapons.

    Cottonwood Police Sergeant Jeremy Daniels has been released from Flagstaff Medical Center and is home recuperating, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety . Daniels is the Cottonwood police officer shot in the leg during the fight with the Gaver family in the Walmart parking lot March 21. According to Cottonwood Police Public Information Officer Tod Moore, the bullet struck Moore in the upper inside thigh and traveled to the back of the leg where it remains lodged. 2 comments

Instead they will set up a stakeholder group to analyze various ways to deal with dog hoarders who aren't taking proper care of their animals.

    Four suspects involved in the weekend shooting of a Cottonwood police officer are being held in the Yavapai County Jail on bonds ranging from $75,000 to $25,000, according to Dwight D'Evelyn, the Media/Crime Prevention Coordinator for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office . Arrested and in custody, said D'Evelyn, are Jeremiah Gaver, 28; Nathaniel Gaver, 27; Peter Gaver, 55; and Ruth Gaver, 52. Two others from the same family - both juveniles -- are in-custody at the Prescott Juvenile Detention Center, said D'Evelyn.

    Nicholas Joseph Reid, 25, has agreed to a guilty plea for his part in the home invasion robbery of an 18th Street Cottonwood home on Feb. 15, 2013. Reid has agreed to plead guilty to burglary in the first degree, conspiracy to commit the burglary, three counts of aggravated assault, misconduct with weapons as well as two counts of burglary in the fourth degree.

This free presentation will be in the Verde Room of the Yavapai County Administrative Building in Cottonwood, 10 S. 6th St. and is part of the Verde River Basin Partnership's ongoing monthly educational program series for the public.
