    A Cottonwood woman was able to get help at an Anthem Walmart store after a man, who relatives said had harassed and stalked her, kidnapped her. According to police information, family members of a 31-year-old woman said she had not returned home from work on May 10; relatives found the woman's car in a secluded area near her job and found one of her shoes on the ground along with a small pool of blood.

    The Yavapai County Attorney's Office announced Tuesday that they were unable to find any criminal wrongdoing in the shooting death of a man at a traffic stop by a deputy last year. Proctor was shot and killed in Cottonwood on May 30, 2015, after Gorman chased and got into a physical altercation with him following a traffic stop, investigators said.

According to an update, the woman who was believed to have been kidnapped, 35-year-old Virginia "Samantha" Reyes, had gotten in an argument with another woman in the area over a Dodge Charger rental car and money.
