    Diana Marie Garcia, 33, of Cottonwood, pleaded guilty to one drug paraphernalia charge and one theft charge that resulted from stealing medication from patients at an assisted living facility, according to court records Garcia, a former caregiver at Country Care in Cottonwood, accepted a plea deal Monday in front of Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Joseph Butner and was sentenced to 10 days in jail and three years of supervised probation. In the plea agreement, four charges were dropped, including two counts of drug paraphernalia possession/use; one count of narcotic drug possession/use; and one count of possession/use of a prescription only-drug.

As a Sedona Recycles employee since 2008, and a Camp Verde resident from 2012 until just a few months ago, I would like to clear up some gross misconceptions and assertions in these two pieces.

    Jonathan Ryan Hodgson, 27, of Cottonwood, appeared in court Tuesday in front of Judge Michael Bluff at the Yavapai Superior Court in Camp Verde for a second case management conference. Stephanie Willison, attorney for Hodgson, said that "he is seriously considering the plea" but requested more time to go over the evidence, such as the police body camera footage.

In late June, a warning cry of the demise of the Sedona Recycles bins was sounded by Town Council Member Bruce George, who urged people to chip in at the donation box near the bins in the Bashas' Shopping Center.
