    According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, William Oscar Foxworth, 54, of Chipley, was traveling westbound on County Road 276 around 5:15 p.m. Thursday when the vehicle began traveling in a northwestern direction, going off the paved portion of the roadway. Foxworth overcorrected and began to travel in a southwestern direction, again off the paved portion of the roadway and onto the southern grassy shoulder.

    A concerned motorist called 911 around noon on July 2, to report a white Mercedes driving erratically on Highway 20 in Washington County. Shortly after the vehicle turned south onto State Road 79 a Washington County deputy observed the car unable to maintain a single lane and at that time conducted a traffic stop.

    Opening arguments began Tuesday in the trial of Emmanuel Lockhart, the man accused of shooting his former boss last summer. The State Attorney's Office is working to prove Lockhart premeditated the shooting of Colonial Restaurant owner Jody Rhoda, who took the stand Tuesday morning to give her account of the events leading up to the attack on July 10. Lockhart, who is described by prosecutors as a disgruntled employee, waited inside the restaurant Rhoda closed it for the day, initially telling authorities his motive was to rob Rhoda.

    Two Jackson County residents were arrested following a traffic stop by Criminal Interdiction Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol on Saturday, April 22. Troopers stopped a black Mercedes for a speeding violation. The driver would later identified as Bryan Todd Scott, 49, of Cottondale, and the passenger was identified as Stephanie Ann-Elisabeth Rossner, 31, of Marianna Upon entering the driver's license of the driver into Florida Crime Information Center database, the Scott's license came back suspended.
