But in some areas of Trumbull County, motorists could clearly spot signs for unleaded gas below the $2 per gallon mark.

    The Ohio Bureau of Investigation is investigating reports the ex-district director for state Sen. Capri Cafaro cashed a fraudulent check on a personal account Cafaro opened to run her district office in downtown Warren. Police reports from Cortland, Howland and Vienna indicate Cafaro's former employee cashed at least seven checks totaling $4,315 at Seven Seventeen Credit Union locations in those communities in June, including one for $508 at the Cortland branch drawn on a Huntington Bank account to operate Cafaro's office.

    A South Carolina woman accused of crashing into a police cruiser and causing multiple collisions while driving intoxicated Tuesday morning is being held at the Trumbull County Jail without bond as a flight risk, according to court records. Police said Tuesday Chelsie Spelich, 20, would be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without wearing a seat belt, driving while her license is suspended, driving while intoxicated and fleeing the scene of an accident.
