    Bond experts told the City Council Tuesday, May 24, that they did the right thing when they decided to go through the Texas Water Development Board for financing some water projects. Bond attorney Noel Valdez of the McCall, Parkhurst and Horton law offices in San Antonio and Duncan Morrow of Frost Bank said the assistance to be provided by the TWDB will save the city $475,000 during the 20-year period the city will repay the $3.3 million debt.

According to sheriff's Investigator Adam Levine, a deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle parked at a picnic area north of the city near the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 181 near Business U.S. 181 at approximately 7:45 a.m. The red Mazda sedan was occupied by two males, one of whom ran from the deputy.
