Darla Renee Jackson won't face a jury until March in the death of a Navy Seal in a "road rage" incident in Chula Vista after a judge delayed her murder trial to March 10. Jackson, 25, would have started trial Jan. 12 involving the death of Zacharias Edward Buob, 39, but her attorney requested a delay Dec. 23 from a Chula Vista Superior Court judge. Jackson, of Imperial Beach, is charged with following Buob after he kicked her car and she ran him over when he fell off his motorcycle on May 28, 2015. Comment?

An Aug. 17 preliminary hearing has been set for a woman charged with murder in a so-called "road rage" incident in National City that claimed the life of a Navy man on his motorcycle May 28. Darla Renee Jackson, 25, of Imperial Beach, cried and shook during her arraignment last week in Chula Vista Superior Court in the death of Zacharias Edward Buob, 39, who was stationed at Coronado. Deputy District Attorney Laura Evans said June 9 that the crash occurred on state Route 54 and Jackson chased the victim crossing all lanes of traffic and pushed his motorcycle some 300 feet.
