The contest was actually tied at 3 entering the top of the fifth, but freshman Madilyn Goodall singled to drive in sophomore Morgan Carter with the go-ahead run. Goodall and junior Allyson Shoulders crossed the plate later in the inning before freshman Abby Shoulders' sacrifice fly drove in sophomore Olivia Belton for a 7-3 lead.
