    A Pleasanton man suspected of carjacking a sports car from a Vacaville auto salesman, then leading a Vacaville police officer on a high-speed chase on Interstate 80 that ended in a residential area, was arrested on suspicion of a similar carjacking at a Concord dealership two years ago, authorities confirmed on Monday. One of two suspects arrested after Friday's incident, Shane Woodcook, 37, of Pleasanton, had previously been arrested in May 2013.

    A 17-year-old Concord girl killed in a three-vehicle car crash on Sunday was identified by the Solano County Coroner's Office on Tuesday. Rickia Clayton, 17, of Concord was pronounced dead at 2:14 a.m. Sunday due to the injuries she suffered in the collision.

    The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on Interstate 80 that killed a 17-year-old Concord girl early Sunday morning in Vacaville.     Vacaville Unified leaders on Thursday named Jane Shamieh, the school district's chief business officer, as interim superintendent, effective July 1, succeeding Superintendent Ken Jacopetti, who last week said that he would retire on June 30. Whit Whitman, president of the seven-member governing board, made the announcement after trustees emerged from a closed session in the Educational Services Center. During a break in formal trustee business, Shamieh, standing in the hallway just outside board chambers, seemed at a loss for words to describe how she felt.
