The officers were patrolling the area of Ridgeway Church Road in the vicinity of Haggard Road near Commerce when they encountered a GMC Yukon stopped in the road, with one man approaching the vehicle from the wood line.

Carly Jade Massey, 17, of a Roosevelt Boulevard, Commerce, address, is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of weapons in a school safety zone, possession of weapons during the commission of a crime and underage possession of alcohol.

    A two-vehicle accident on Hwy 332 and McNeal Road in Hoschton Thursday night, March 24, claimed the life of a 25-year-old Commerce woman. According to Jackson County Emergency Services director Steve Nichols, a two-vehicle crash with injuries was called in at 8 p.m. on March 24. Amber Nicole Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene.
