    John Wyatt was killed when a plane he was flying crashed near County Road 87 in Calera Thursday, Aug 27, according to the Shelby County Coroner's Office. The crash happened around 7 p.m. as Wyatt was practicing "touch and go" approaches near the Shelby County Airport, which according to FOX6 Meteorologist J-P Dice is when a pilot lands on the runway and takes off again without coming to a full stop.
