    Two people are now jailed in the Nov. 19 death of Javion Shorter after a woman surrendered to Columbus police Friday afternoon. Nashira Kendra Miller, 19, of Columbus turned herself in at the Public Safety Center at 4:45 p.m., the same day Daijon Dawayne Williams was charged with murder in the death of Shorter.

    A man and woman found dead inside a room at the Efficiency Lodge on Boxwood Place have been identified, the Muscogee County Coroner's Office said Saturday. Damion Belle, 23, and Kelsey Marshall, 21, of Columbus were both pronounced dead of multiple gunshots wounds by Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton about 7 p.m. Friday at the 1776 Boxwood Place hotel.
