    Three parking spaces in front of an antique store on East Park Avenue have become a point of contention for the city. According to police Chief Tim Gladis and Councilman Dan Bekar, cars in the westbound lane of traffic have to drive left of center to avoid cars parked in front of the Mercantile on the Square at 14 E. Park Ave. The parking has been allowed in front of the store for many years, including when the building was owned by other businesses, however, the city has recently learned the on-street parking there has been illegal since the 1950s.
