    Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has proposed a statewide ban on bump stocks, the devices designed to make semi-automatic rifles mimic the firing action of fully automatic weapons. The Democratic governor announced the legislation Tuesday, citing the October mass shooting in Las Vegas in which the shooter used a bump stock to kill 58 people and injure hundreds more.
