According to a FEMA press release, President Barack Obama signed an amendment on Monday adding the following counties to his previous major disaster declaration for Hurricane Matthew, making federal funding available to individuals and households: South Carolina homeowners and renters in designated counties who had damage to their homes, vehicles or personal property as a result of the storms are eligible to apply for FEMA assistance, the release stated.
