    A fire destroyed a distribution center in King George County on Saturday afternoon, and it took more than 200,000 gallons of water to put out the blaze, Fire Chief David Moody said. The J.C. Bean Sprouts Inc. facility at 2294 Kings Highway was unoccupied when it caught fire about 4:40 p.m. A person who called 911 told a dispatcher that some boxes and wooden pallets on a loading dock were on fire.

    According to the Virginia State Police trooper's preliminary investigation, Mathew Wayne Blair, 28, of Colonial Beach, was driving a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan south on Route 205 in Westmoreland County when he crossed the center line. The van crashed head-on into a 1996 Chrysler Concorde, driven by Patricia Kaye Copfer, 67, of Colonial Beach.
