Aldenni de Jesus Trujillo Santiago initially called police around 3:50 p.m. March 23 to report his neighbor's aggressive loose dog.

One could be excused for assuming that the fabled lawman is buried in a Boot Hill somewhere, probably Tombstone, Arizona, where he is eternally connected to the gunfight at the OK Corral.

    It's the latest move by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to use Measure A money to combat the housing crisis in partnership with nonprofit builders. The board approved spending about $8.7 million on projects in South San Francisco, Colma, Redwood City, East Palo Alto, North Fair Oaks, Moss Beach and North Fair Oaks.

    This Sunday, Ulrich and a group of other students and volunteers will don fine fashions from the 1800s as the San Mateo County History Museum hosts its annual Victorian Days at the Old Courthouse in Redwood City. They will host a Victorian tea, put on a fashion show, help children create toys and crafts from the era and give lessons on such topics as the "language of the fan."
