    Police arrested 157 people – almost all for alcohol-related offenses – during the three-day Stagecoach Country Music Festival, officials said Tuesday. Fifteen people were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, and 138 were arrested for other alcohol-related issues including using a fake ID to purchase alcohol as a minor, furnishing alcohol to a minor and selling a fake ID to a minor, according to an Indio Police Department news release.

Yep, Long Beach's own hip-hop icon came out as a surprise guest during Sam Hunt's sunset turn at the country music festival in Indio Friday and delivered short versions of “Next Episode” and “Drop It Like It's Hot.” It was definitely the most unique moment in Stagecoach history and why not go wild since it's the 10-year anniversary of the fest? No one brought more flair to the first day of Stagecoach than Hunt, who has cracked into the mainstream with a rap/electronica-infused brand of country music.

Among the highlights were Rancid, the Bay Area punk band that thanked Coachella promoter Goldenvoice and its leader Paul Tollett during an energetic afternoon set that had multiple mosh pits going as the band played cuts primarily from its mid-'90s classics “Let's Go” and “...And Out Come the Wolves.” • In the Gobi Tent, singer/songwriter Pete Yorn paid tribute to Prince, who died Thursday, by opening with a little bit of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” a song Prince wrote that became a hit for Sinead O'Connor.
