    Officials in Clio have lifted a boil water advisory issued earlier this week for a portion of city residents and the high school. The advisory was issued Tuesday, Jan. 9 after a water main break Monday that led to the isolation of a part of the city's water distribution system that affected residents of Beech Street, Butler Street from North Mill Street to Cherry Street, Cherry Street, Clarion Street, Maple Street, and Poplar Street and the Clio Area High School.

Appearing in Genesee County District Court on Thursday, Jan. 11, lawyers for Kyle Anger, Mark Sekelsky and Trevor Gray - ages 18, 16 and 15, respectively - asked Judge William C. Crawford III to allow for a third-party independent evaluation before determining whether the three were mentally competent at the time of the fatal incident at the Interstate 75 overpass, and possess the capacity to understand the charges against them.

    A 52-year-old Clio man was killed in an accident involving an allegedly intoxicated driver at approximately 12:05 a.m. on December 29. According to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, deputies and paramedics arrived at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on N. Saginaw Road near Hayward Drive involving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado and a 1998 Buick Lesabre. The Buick Lesabre had significant damage and both occupants were entrapped.
